Jaffa is a port city located on the Beautiful Mediterranean coast, and it was used, for many years, as the main gate to the Holy Land. Touring Jerusalem, you may find signs saying Jaffa is the "port of Jerusalem", and when touring Jaffa the beauty of the past is still evident in what we see today. A tour of Jaffa is always accompanied by the fishing boats at the port, the colorful Flea Market, the oriental restaurants and the smell of fresh bread coming out from the bakeries. We will also get an interesting view of Jaffa's "daughter": the city of Tel-Aviv. The Jaffa tour takes us like a time machine, to a History of 5000 years which includes the stories of the Ottoman rulers, the first American and German pioneers coming to reconnect their roots in mid - 19th century, and many others that came here. Jaffa also brings us to meet with the first Jewish settlers to establish neighborhoods, settlements, kibbutzim and towns near Jaffa and throughout the land of Israel, and reminds us of the days before 1948. Of course, the most prominent symbol of Jaffa is the orange tree developed by a local family. Come with me to explore: - Sunset tour of Jaffa: Jaffa is always picturesque, but even more so around sunset. We will visit the beautiful 'Ajami neighborhood, the French ambassador's house, art galleries and Museums. This is where Jews lived until they left Jaffa in favor of Neve-Tzedek.
- Neve-Tzedek, the first Jewish neighborhood outside of Jaffa, and the story of all settlements outside of Jaffa.
- Old Jaffa day and night tour that starts in The Clock Square, and goes through The Jerusalem Gate, St. Peter's church, Simon's the turner house and ends at the Jaffa Port.
